Crystal Reports export to Excel: adjust column width

With the report mailer function we export a Crystal Reports report to an Excel document. This doesn’t automatically set the column width correctly (see image below). Is it possible to change this?

Unfortunately, we can’t adjust this with the GUI. Check the following link for an instruction to adjust column width in the report itself:
