Could Debug center access to Error log do with lesser rights than Main Administrator?

To gain access to the “Error log” tab under the Debug center one needs to be enabled as Main Administrator in IAM. During development there is a lot you can use in the meantime, but for certain info the answer is most likely found in the Error log.

Would it be reasonable to have access to this with less right? Probably “Developer mode” seems logical for this scenario, but perhaps there are reasons why this should not be done.

Hello Mark,

The reason the error log needs main administrator is because that contains information about the whole system and every user.
We also have the developer mode in IAM which gives access to the processflow monitor and db eventlog. But those screens only contain information about the current user.

@Edo Spijker Thank you for the answer.

What is your opinion of the introduction of a separate role or group for only a developers purpose to be able to see the Error log? With the current option of Main administrator, you also make that person a full control entity in IAM, which is absolutely not desirable for the intent. Especially if you are working with hired people outside of your company.
