Showing email messages with the previewer is a very nice feature, exept this message which appears before a message can be previewed.

In our scenario msg files are saved in a shared network folder.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this warning?

I hope there is a way to do this, without changing settings in the Trust Center of Outlook/Office.

If you would preview the .msg files in Windows explorer, does the preview work as expected? The GUI previewer is quite similar to the preview in the explorer.

Hi Harm,

Could it be that your antivirus is not up-to-date? See: I get warnings about a program accessing email address information or sending email on my behalf (microsoft.com)

Hope this fixes it!

We have tried different things. The virus scanner is in any case up to date.

Windows Explorer does not have this problem.

I don't quite understand why this message appears, while the file is only being read and moreover the msg file is not in the mailbox, but on the file system.
