SQL-code formatting guidelines renewed

As you know at Thinkwise we have guidelines for formatting our SQL-code. Because the guidelines were found to be a bit too extensive, we decided to reduce the examples. In addition, we have made some minor adjustments, so that they are more in line with the best practices of Thinkwise.

The guidelines can be found here: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/guidelines_sql_formatting

Good luck using these guidelines!

Hi Frank thanks for sharing! We currently use a sql formatter. This saves us really a lot of time.

We currently use this one from Redgate, which is highly configurable and (for now) free for Azure Data Studio, there is a paid plugin for Sql Management Studio as well. (https://www.red-gate.com/products/sql-development/sql-prompt/

It would be nice to have something like this for Thinkwise as well.

I just tried the red-gate tool. Looks good!
