It would be very helpful to be able to sort on a role name. It is easier to search on a sorted list by name then by sequence number.
I even don't see the additional value of sequence number for the roles. I need to adjust those every time :-(

The order number is intended as a sort of override on the name. However, if you always maintain the same sequence number this has no effect, and the desired functionality should be achieved; the sorting will be based on the role name. See this example:
Since the default sequence number is 10, you could stick to that to avoid any additional work in the future.
