Can this popup be kept within the GUI, or the message be given in the information panel?

You do not always notice that it floats somewhere on the desktop. Especially if the synchronization runs on a remote desktop and you return after a while.

In the SF 2021.3, (which has been released today!) several creation jobs are no longer executed by a client (the GUI) but instead by Indicium via the pool user. More info can be found here

In the following version, the SF 2022.1, we will also implement this behavior for synchronization to IAM. This will also affect the notification of a finished synchronization.

Just like all other steps in Creation currently, from version 2022.1 the Synchronization to IAM and the Deployment package processes are no longer executed by a client (the GUI) but instead by Indicium via the pool user.

You'll no longer receive a pop-up message as this is an autonomous process. The progress can be followed in the screens.
