Dear all,
It would be nice to have a search to filter the set of tables or views on the above mentioned screen, same goes for the references. I want to filter specific tables based on my filter string.

I like your idea, let's see how many votes it get. For now, you can use the Find option (ctrl+f) to find the desired record and navigate to it.
