I think the idea is clear. Show images and other documents as thumbnail in a response way.

Should every record represent a tile and what would you extect when the tile is clicked? Normal record selection, or?

The behavior would be more or less the same as a cardlist. The main goal is to display as many tiles as possible within the available space on the screen. This is because in the case of visual material, the picture tells more than any textual data.
