When deleting a row in the Software Factory, it currently shows the generic message:

Usually you can see the selected row in the background, however, I’d like bit more assurance when deleting things in the Software Factory.

It would be great if it showed for example (when deleting):

  • Functionality: Are you sure you want to delete {control_proc_id}
  • Branch: Are you sure you want to delete {branch_id}
  • etc.

This idea will be implemented in the next release!

Instead of improving this only for the Software Factory, we updated the confirmation messages for all Universal applications.

The delete confirmation now includes the name of the selected item, provided a lookup column has been configured. We also updated the button labels to better align with common UX patterns and make the action clearer.

When multiple items are selected, the confirmation message shows the number of items that will be deleted:

While making these changes, we also improved the cancel confirmation message to clearly explain that unsaved changes will be lost.
