As a user, I'd like to be able to tick which columns the combined filter applies to. This as a subset of the columns that have been configured by the developer.

In some screens I really like the simple effectiveness of the combined search, but is it not helpful because on of the search columns makes my search return irrelevant results, for example:

 

In this case I only like to filter the roles on ‘azure’. I could use the filter screen of course, but in many cases that feels like overkill.

 

Instead of the read-only informative yellow popup, it would have a popup like on the column headers, like this:

 

Options for ‘date’ and ‘scope’ are bycatch in the screenshot; ‘date’ might be a possible addition as long as there is a well defined ‘inserted on’-date.
