Currently when creating a prefilter the standard filter condition for a prefilter column is contains. I think it makes more sense to make the standard equal to. Since most times you want to filter based off a domain value. And also the contains has bigger implications on performance and should therefor not be the standard.

Erwin,

I totally agree with you. I have submitted this wish a long time ago (internally). Based on the fact that "contains" is a possible performance risk and "equal to" should result in a much better performance.

Hey Arjan and Erwin,

We think that's a great idea with low impact. I will schedule it for 2020.1.

This is solved in the SF 2020.1.

Prefilter columns have now a default condition that is 'equal to' instead of 'contains'. The same applies for conditional layout conditions for tasks, reports and tables.
