With MCP development in the SF, I am working on several user-stories/branches at the same time. So I am switching a lot between them.

To make this easier/faster, I would like a small change to the ‘Switch branch’ task so that the branch field has a lookup showing the [branch] - [branch description]. This way I know which branch includes what from just the dropdown (without having to open the popup).

Also with the create branch task, it would be nice to have the branch description as input field.

How are your branch names composed currently? We internally do “[User story ID]_[Brief keywords]”

I'm thinking the branch description may become a little too long. Current method always have been that the branch description is the same as the branch name upon creation. Right after the platform upgrade, that would then cause the look-up to read Branch - Branch; unless we would empty the branch description if the same as the branch name.

I do believe our own internal branch naming convention wouldn't be necessary anymore if the branch description would be shown in the look-up too.

We use our Jira ticket as branch id. The ticket name is put in the branch description.

If the description field is too long, an optional (shorter) branch_name field could also be added, so that the lookup stays the same when left empty.
