Automatically open filter popup when using "Start Empty with Filter" (Universal)

Within Thinkwise, when the “start empty with filter” option is enabled in the Subject menu, the Windows GUI shows an empty screen when opening the form and immediately displays a popup with filter options.

I am currently working for a customer who would like this behavior as well. In the old application, it works exactly the same as in the Windows GUI.

I would like this to work in the same way in Universal: opening the screen should immediately show the filter popup. If this is not possible, I would like to have a process flow action available that can open/activate the filter popup.

    ​@BasBrugman I’ve got some good news for you: with the upcoming Indicium & Universal GUI 2025.3.13 releases we will support the new Process action ‘Open filter’. 

    We’ll also publish a Hotfix for Platform version 2025.3 that adds this Process action to the SF.

    Since this new Process action will only work in the Universal GUI, you can then have the following situation in parallel with Platform version 2025.3:

    • Windows GUI: ‘Start empty with filter’ enabled and NO Combined filter on the screen will automatically open the Filter popup.
      Note that if you have the Combined filter on the screen, this setting will actually open the Subject empty and set the cursor in Combined filter instead of opening the Filter popup
    • Universal GUI: ‘Start empty with filter’ enabled AND Process Flow ‘Open document’ > ‘Open filter’ will automatically open the Filter popup. So basically, you’d have to add a Process flow for each Subject for which you wish to have this behavior manually in the model, we won’t provide an Enrichment for it.
