Copy model is very basic and even has potential risks since it re-uses the same database name. I’m not sure what the use case is of having 2 models share the same database name. Can we add the ‘Database name’ to the copy task so I don’t have to change it manually?

Hi Erwin,

The database is linked to a branch, and a model may contain a lot of branches. So how would you deal with that when copying a model? I can imagine you would not want a pop-up per branch, for example.

Personally i think when copying a model you want to have only one branch. The branches were relevant in the old model. But the new model is sort of a branch in of it self. So copy model should in my opinion basically function like export and import model. Just create a flat new model with only a main branch. I’m not quite sure how to handle multiple runtimes though.
