I would like more flexibility in how domain elements are displayed in Universal (lookups, forms, and grids).

Currently, in Universal (version 2025.2.11), a domain with an image combo control is always shown as icon + text. In some cases, I would prefer to show only the icon, in others only the text, and sometimes both. The desired display format depends on the specific screen or selection context.

We already have a similar feature available for table tasks, called “Custom display type”. I would love to see the same kind of setting applied to domain elements, so they can be displayed differently depending on the level or context.

My initial thought is that this configuration could be added to the col table, making it visible in the subject overview where it can be adjusted per form, grid, or other object.

Alternatively, it might also make sense to include it in the lookup section or the domain section itself. This depends on broader design considerations, but my preference would be to have full control at the col table level.
