Dear all,

Wouldn’t it be nice that the date format could be specified on the domain.

Eg. I would like a date to be presented as

  1. Year only
  2. month only in the specified form (MM or MMM)
  3. week number

Why go in all the trouble implementing the calendar as mentioned in various discussions and not have it as part of the SF itself ?

Did this topic help you find an answer to your question?

Good idea, would be interesting to extent this feature with also numerical formats…  so a currency would actually show as a currency based on a users locale or set locale.

And if we expand the idea with a freely adjustable mask (eg MM-DD, d-M-yyyy etc) then we can also realize the wishes we have with regard to showing dates

Agree to both 👍

The control to specify format should be possible to be added by the Developer in SF for the Domain according to datatype being used.

A freely adjustable mask might not be the best option, GUI may have trouble understanding the exact way it should handle the given format. Sorting may be challenging too. But the idea is nice!
