It would be nice if you could filter on specific values from (combination of) the current tab and detail tabs. For example: which employees have more than 10 vacation days and work in the Customer Solutions department.

Even nicer if this idea could get an upgrade to `use SQL-snippets as custom prefilters`.
+1As a follow up on prioritizing this Idea, I recently worked out a concept that incorporates this, as part of a broader filtering system.
In this concept, we distinguish between Default and Advanced Filtering, both accessible from within the same filter pop-up. The default filter is meant for quick, simple filtering. When the user switches to the advanced filter, any selected conditions are automatically carried over. From there, the user can add additional rules and configure AND/OR logic. For example: to apply multiple conditions on the same field or to define alternative filter scenarios for more complex use cases.
Each rule group can be combined using AND/OR operators, allowing for highly tailored query structures that reflect both inclusive and exclusive logic giving users fine-grained control over how filters interact.
Another feature in this Filter concept is the ability to filter within detail tabs of the dataset (e.g., 'Hours'), which is possible in both the Default and Advanced filter modes. The user selects a field within a detail tab by clicking Add field, and then defines a condition using an operator such as Includes. A value can then be entered for filtering. Multiple conditions can be applied to the same field if needed. These conditions are set through a separate pop-up window, which keeps the main Advanced Filter interface clean and easy to navigate.
After adding the conditions, the user is returned to the main filter view. The button label automatically updates to reflect how many conditions have been added (e.g., 2 conditions added), providing immediate feedback on the active filter set.
This approach provides significant flexibility without compromising usability especially when filtering on fields nested within more complex or relational data models.
