At this moment it is only possible to set the password strenght for the entire application.

It would be nice to do this per user of usergroup

For example:

We have users at the office which we want to use the higher password strength but also users in our warehouse wich we want to use al lower strenght because the are only using a simple scanning device (just a digit code as inlog).

Now we are forced to use the lowest strengt for everybody.

Hi Guido,

Discussed this idea internally, we think it would be better if Tenants could deviate from the default password strength instead of Users or User groups. You would be able to place the warehouse users inside a different tenant as the office workers to allow for a different password strength.

Users can have multiple User groups so if we would allow different password strengths per User group, it would be difficult to determine the correct password strength.

Also if we would allow certain users to have a different password strength, it would be quite difficult to manage it safely. Login passwords are supposed to be safe and should be safe across a whole tenant.

Small edit: Maybe implementing it per user would still be a better option; if the idea gets on the backlog, the definitive implementation will be described.

Let the voting begin!

Hi Mark,

Thanks for discussing! I'm fine with this setting per Tenant if this gives me the opportunity to use different password strengths :-)
