Alternative calculated grid totals

Related products:Software FactoryWindows GUI

It would be very useful to be able to use alternative calculations in grid totals. When hourly rates or unit prices are shown in a grid, it can be useful to show an average at the bottom instead of a total (which adds little to hourly rates). Or a maximum, minimum, median, etc.

Hi sjongmans,

the SF already supports this feature via the ‘Subjects’ screen.

As Kevin suggested, those are the aggregation types the Windows+Web GUI currently supports. Are there any typesin particular you are missing in this list?

An example:In a grid there are lines with a products. Each product has its cost price and sales price. Between those prices we have a margin (sales price -/- cost prijs)/sales prices) * 100%. In the list totals (but also group totals) the total cost price and sales price is shown. I would also like to see margin as a total (of a group). Since margin is a percentage, the underlying values cannot just be added up, but must be calculated on the total.

(total sales price -/- total cost prijs) / total sales prices) * 100%.

It is possible to add a new column that does this calculation for each row and do an aggregation over that column.

Using multiple columns inside an aggregation is currently not possible as the aggregation is done over the column it is placed on. The goal is clear, let's see the votes:thumbsup_tone1:
