During an upgrade, we deactivate the application in IAM, to make sure the process flows stop running while the model changes are not sent to IAM yet. When you have multiple applications on one model, you need to activate/deactivate all these applications through the form. We would like to see a task where you can activate/deactivate multiple selected applications in IAM.

In the next platform version, we have replaced the ‘Active’ checkbox with two tasks for bringing an application online or offline.

Not related to this idea, but still a nice addition to my opinion: when you bring an application offline, you can immediately set a clean-up date and time. A system flow will check periodically which offline applications have a clean-up date and time set in the past and removes them automatically. You can even create a custom schedule for this process in IAM. This helps you keep your IAM environment clean.
