I would like to see the option Azure Managed Identity as authentication type for an HTTP connector.

This will make it easier to securely call an Azure Function.

@Pierius Lycklama A Nijeholt It is possible to use this for System-assigned Azure Managed identities in combination with the Web connector (not the HTTP connector). Does this suffice for your scenario?

@Arie V On behalf of Pierius I am responding to this topic.

The new implementation of the Web connector should suffice. When we are 100% Universal GUI it is unlikely we still need the HTTP connector and will be able to move those functionalities to a Web connector version.

This process is going to take some time, but no need to feature this on the HTTP connector for the time remaining. It is probably also Thinkwise’s intent to replace the HTTP connector with the new Web connector eventually.
