Possibility to add custom fields to a work item

We're currently missing the possibility to add custom fields to a work item. For instance: we want to use it to indicate whether or not a DPIA is deemed necessary, the origin of the work item etc. Of course we can just type that in the Description field, but then it wouldn't be possible to query on that field effectively and it wouldn't be sustainable for us.

Hi Marcel,

We do provide the option to add tags to work items. Does that help? 

We could show the tags in the work item list for easier filtering.

@Jasper thank you for your answer. I looked into it, but it seems that the tags are linked to individual work items. That would mean that every work item would need be completed with a number of the same tags. Aside from the risk of typos etc., that would be a very inefficient way to be able to add fields.

It would also be limited in solution. For instance, it would work when you talk about a simple boolean field (like DPIA yes or no), but it would not work efficiently if you - for instance - wanted to link an origin (i.e. which of the customers asked for this solution) to the work item. In that case a dropdown with a limited set of possibilities would be more appropriate.
