Change field background color for checkbox and radiobuttons.

Related products: Universal GUI

In the current software factory you can only change the background color of a text field. But when you have a checkbox or radio button, you can no longer change the background color of the field. But this is desirable (in our situation) to indicate that a field is mandatory.

This is a text field with a background color.
But this is not possible with checkboxes or radiobuttons.

Hi Dylan,

How would you like to see a background color on these kinds of fields? Something like this or do you have another suggestion?:

We currently comply with the industry standard, showing an asterisk next to the fields label to indicate the field is mandatory.

While looking at the inspector, Thinkwise changes the background color of the entire field. We want it to be exactly the same as with the normal text fields. We have chosen to display mandatory fields with a background color, because we want to be able to save the record.

That would mean you are looking for something like this?:

Yes exacly.

Hi Dylan!

Conditional layouts are not intended to use as indicators of mandatory fields.

This is why Universal won't implement this idea.

It is possible to use custom CSS to style the mandatory area yourself, but this will not be supported by the Universal GUI.
