Please add an extra setting for tasks in SF to make it possible to select one of the following button sets to make applications more intuitive for end users.

1: Execute - Cancel      (default)
2: OK
3: Save - Cancel
4: Yes - No
5: Yes - No - Cancel

More variants are conceivable:
6. Send - Cancel
7. Go - Cancel

8. Agree - Disagree
etc...

That is why it might be useful to come up with a more flexible solution, where you, as an app developer, are given complete freedom to define the submit buttons and that the various buttons then also come back as variables in the layout, default and execute procedures of the task, in order to further enrich the logic behind tasks.

I would also like to be able to provide the buttons with a custom icon and translation.

Hi Community!

I was wondering if there have been any updates on the possibility of renaming the "Execute - Cancel" buttons in the task UI within the Thinkwise Software Factory. I've been looking through the settings but haven't found a clear way to customize this button text directly. If anyone has insights or if an update is planned, I’d love to hear about it!

Thanks in advance!

This Idea has been moved to status ‘On the Backlog’ and is something we intend to look at in the near future. The explanation of each status can be found here:

We are currently working on this. It will be scoped to being able to override the translation of the confirm & cancel button for tasks and reports.

To be clear, we’ll introduce 2 changes as part of this Idea:

  1. The ability to have a different global translation for Cancel & Execute
  2. The ability to override translations for a specific Task/Report, similar to the ‘Alternative translation’ checkbox we introduced for this Idea:

    Some examples:

This is expected to ship with Release 2025.2 in a few weeks!
