Knowledge session: Visual thinking, a drawing approach
Solving complex problems isn’t easy, but sometimes all you need is a different thinking approach. Thinking in and with pictures is a great way to achieve that. You know what they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. When you have the right combination of pictures and words, a whole new world opens up to you. So in this workshop-style knowledge session, you’ll learn how to use drawing to structure your thoughts (Draw to Think), how to use drawing to work with others better (Draw to Collaborate), and how to communicate your ideas effectively (Draw to Share).
After this workshop, you’ll understand why visual thinking works, how to draw using simple building blocks, and when to use it. Before you know it you’ll be using it for thinking, collaboration, explanations, presentations, and more. This knowledge session will kickstart your visual thinking skills. Get your papers and markers ready for action!
This session is hosted by Nadia Dalh, a visual thinking expert and strategic designer from TU Delft. She firmly believes that everybody can draw, and that pretty drawings are not the same as useful drawings.
