Is the recalculation of badge values limited?

The badge values are recalculated with a time interval of 5 minutes (default). When the user interface is not used, it seems that the recalculation of badge values stops after 5 times. After that, the badge values are not shown anymore. Is that a known behaviour?

The refresh only has effect if the subject it self has a badge. If it’s a subject without a badge the normal interval is applied.

The claim_appl happens after I press refresh. Than it still takes 2 minutes before the badges are calculated and shown. So it's not directly after the refresh.

The claim_appl and the badge refresh are not linked. The badges will be refreshed when the badge-interval is reached or when the subject is refreshed. If you want to have the badges refreshed after the application becomes active again then please create an idea for it in the ideas section.

It is the Windows GUI. The refresh action makes the badges available again, but not immediately (see debug view below).

After the refresh (claim_appl), it takes 2 minutes. This is not caused by the time to calculate the badge value (6ms).

Is this regarding the windows GUI? If so, the badges become deactivated when the application is inactive for a longer period. Upon activity in the application the badges become available again after a few minutes. On a refresh action they become available immediately.

Can you confirm that after the badges disappear they return when you refresh the subject?
