Reports developed in Devexpress tend to run rather slow in the Windows GUI. Even when Devexpress itself generates a report within a second it can still take over 10 seconds for the GUI to do the same thing with the same report parameters. I’ve seen this happen in several occasions. Now it’s an issue because for a new module for our warehouse printing a specific report is rather time critical. A delayed print tends to interrupt the workflow too much. The desired behavior would be to have a printout of a report within a couple seconds instead of the current 10-15 seconds. A workaround for now is to make it possible to set the print command in motion earlier in the process but that is not a solution in all situations. It also makes the chances of human error a bit larger. Is there a way to find out why reports perform slow in the Windows GUI?
Is it possible to create a new language in TSF based on the language “NL”?We notice that some terms are slightly different in Belgium than in the Netherlands. So I would like to copy the language “NL” to “NL-BE”. How can I do that?If I can not do that myself in TSF, can you please provide me a script that copies al data in the required tables?
I am trying to upload a pdf file to an external server. The http-connector should sent a multipart/form-data message, consisting of an application/json part and an application/pdf part.I have constructed the message and I am able to upload a file to the server. However, the pdf file seems to be corrupted or somehow transferred incorrectly.I am reading the pdf file as a varbinary and since I am unable to insert a binary in the content-variable of the http-connector, I am forced to convert the varbinary to a varchar. I use the following code to do so:convert(varchar(max), @file_data, 1)To evaluate I have sent the message from the Thinkwise http-connector as well as from Postman to RequestBin.com. The messages arrive differently: Postman, raw, looks like this (only part of the data copied)0000000 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 0000010 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 32 34 33 39 0000020 37 33 36 39 30 35 31 32 39 35 31 33 37 37 36 38 0000030 31 37 34 32 0d 0a 43 6f 6e
Hello, So I have 2 tasks on two different tables. I have an id on the first table and I want pass it as a parameter on the second task, I do not have a column for the id in the second table. I tried to put it as an output in a process flow but it's taking the id as null.As you can see in the images below in the first task I have the current_id but in the second one is null. This is the first taskThis is the second task
We have been working a bit with the scheduler and I have some questions on how to solve it or when it could be seen in the GUI. How can we have the date range in Portuguese localization? It appears that with the scheduler component there is nog update button, how can I refresh it? Is there a way to dynamically color the bars? In this case there are 2 distinct flows.. I want to give them a different color. And if I have 3 different flows I want 3 different colors for the tasks matching the flow. Is there a way to show the day of the week that is shown? Can you give weekends / holidays a background color? Can we zoom in smaller then days (I know that question has been asked before). can the list on the left be a tree for example? That you can show the main levels and expend to lower levels?
When producing cube view graphs in Windos GUI we see an expected row where we have a Date type field: However, the Universal GUI shows this Date field as follows: Question: how can we have a cube view where the row Date only shows a date without 'T00:00:00’? Please advise, thank you, Paul
I am looking for a way to display a percentage in the UI, while the column contains decimal values in the database. E.g. 0.51 in database displays 51 in UI.I expected that the domain control field 'Percentage’ would do the trick, but it doesn't. The documentation is not very specific about what the Percentage control does when it is selected in a domain:I cannot be the first to deal with this issue, hence I hope that somebody here can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!
Hi all,I noticed that there is a duplicate taskbar in Universal gui. Ofcourse in the screentype this is added as a component but when I remove the taskbar from the screentype it seems to work as intended. Why is that? img 1: screentype where taskbar component is added img 2: screentype where taskbar component is not added
Hi,In the use log in IAM I can see the use_log_sessions by many users.Only 1 user does have use-log_actions?How can I turn on the logging for other users? And can I query the number of times a task is used by a user?I can see some data but this is more than 1 month ago. select * from use_log_usr_action where project_id = 'serp'and usr_action_type_id like '%task%'and project_vrs_id in ('1.54','1.55','1.56','1.57','1.58')order by date_time desc
I like to achieve the following in our application (Web GUI):When the user executes a certain task a download* is started and shown in the running tasks window. When the download is finished the user can retrieve the file via the running tasks window.* The download is the response of a select request to indicium with the option to export as XLSX added (&$export=xlsx). It should behave the same as how you can download a GUI via the TCP website. What steps are needed to achieve this?
At a client, we’re going to deploy the universal interface in a short while. While testing the client found an interesting flow concerning login and password recovery that is undesirable.Happy flowIn the universal interface, the user clicks the password recovery link. The browser is redirected to the indicium interface. The user enters their username/email and a token gets sent out. The user enters the token and new password en hits enter. The user enters a username and password to log in. The user enters their email TOTP token. The user gets redirected to the universal interface. What happened during testing?Somehow the client manually went back to the indicium interface. And started the password recovery there. The process worked the same except he didn't get redirected to the universal interface as no redirect URL was available. They also tried to log in at the indicium interface, the login was successful but the client got stuck as they didn't have an application interface availabl
Hi everyone, I was looking for a way for web GUI resource scheduler to zoom out the times scale showing 8 months instead of 7 by default. I checked the documentation and the full model module in SF and I found the zoom factor under the web and windows setting in the extender, but they work differently from each other. In web its designed to be Boolean implying we are only enabling the feature and, in the windows GUI we are giving instruction what level of zoom are we requiring. Is there any other way of zooming out the time scale for the web GUI?My current Time Scale I don’t find any difference after i enabled this option
The filter on the cube view does niet give the expected results. How is this possible? See image below, the filtered results are in the range until - 10.000, however, I see different results. It does not matter if the check ‘apply to specific level’ is on. Could anyone help me with this odd situation?
Hello everyone,We asked Thinkwise Support about the way to set up the Exchange Connector in cases where the legacy EWS Connector is missing from Azure. The reply was to add full Application permissions for the newer Office 365 Exchange Online connector in Azure. However, that Office 365 Exchange Online option is not present in Azure either.Microsoft advices to use the MS Graph connector for as much as possible. We might be able to go that route. But we're curious about the contingency plan for the Thinkwise Exchange Connector. Is there such a plan? What is the future for this connector?Best regards,- Alex
Hi,I was playing with the Upcycler. In general things went ok, but I have 2 questions. 5 files failed with importing the data. Is it possible to only run these 5 files again, by removing the successful files from the folder, of might that conflict with things? Or do all the files need be run in 1 batch (and thus removing the data from the db for a new run)? And what would be the advice in fixing these issues? e.g.; A table name is ‘INDEX’ , so sql doesn’t accept it. What stage of the upcycling would be best to change this? Also, the encoding of the data files .json was selected by the Upcycler, but when importing it was not the correct Encoding. I selected the utf-8-bom for importing and then it worked. Is this something that I could have seen in advance? Thanks!
Hi everyone,I've made a DevExpress report and in SF Reports configured the settings as seen in print screen 1.The "Print preview" action for DevExpress works fine in the Windows GUI.But in Web GUI when I select the action "Print preview" (print screen 2) I get an error (print screen 3).If I choose action "Export to PDF" it generated the report successfully and I can see the exported pdf with the correct data.So the problem only occurs with the "Print preview" for DevExpress. Note: In a process flow I've a Report type SSRS(Local) and a Report action Print preview. In Web GUI the Print preview doesn't throw an error and successfully shows the preview. Do you guys have some ideas what could be the problem and how to fix it ? print screen 1print screen 2print screen 3
