Dear Community,We had a blast at the Thinkwise Developers Event 2024! Great to see all your faces again. There were a lot of ideas presented to us, like the advantages of AI. We’ve also invited you to register for our UX panel:‘The Thinkwise UX Hall of Fame’.Many of you did! For those who could not attend or still want to register, click here to go to the registration form.By participating in our UX panel, we can contact you to cooperatively share ideas and opinions about the development of our products. This will be done by informing you, through this panel, about the newest features and designs of our products. This gives us the opportunity to invite you to, for example, interviews or brainstorm sessions about these features and designs, which allows you to provide feedback directly. We look forward to your input and feedback, so don’t hesitate to share your opinions!Kind regards,The UX Team
In the Software Factory, we have the Icons screen where we can find every icon used in our project. However, if I reuse the icon for a label, this icon gets duplicated in my overview. As a result my overview gets crowded with identical icons: I would prefer to see the used labels as a detail list per icon. This would motivate the reuse of icons, because I would have a much more streamlined overview of all icons. This would also make the list of icons more manageable: instead of altering an icon per label, I can change a group of labels in one alteration of an icon.
This is the first time we share a design as a standalone blog, to give you an impression of the things yet to come. This gives us the means to register feedback about a new feature in a natural way, which helps us to improve our product in the process. Our goal is to give our end-users a prominent place in our design process and to listen to their feedback in an earlier stage, so that we can work together to make the best product possible for all involved. Therefore, we welcome your opinion and are curious about your thoughts. Now, for the design at hand. We already support the immediate export functionality in the overflow menu of a subject. Using this action immediately starts the download of all visible rows without any further action needed. But what if you want to download a specific number of rows or want to download the data as untranslated ID’s?We are going to add an ‘Export…’ action in the overflow menu, which opens a wizard. This wizard lets you adjust your export settings, step
@Roland originaly posted this idea (https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/development-13/style-svg-s-used-in-image-combo-and-other-places-903). @Jasper opted to add said idea as a new post. It has not been added yet as far as I can tell, and I think it would be a great feature. The current development of our platform recommends to use .svg's for icons, and I can set up the padding of an icon (in icons8 for instance) and use it to get a more ‘open’ look in the GUI, because the icons have more room between them. Setting up padding per icon, however, makes it unique and limits my possibilities to reuse this icon for a different purpose. Would it be possible to setup the padding of icons in the SF? Maybe this could be integrated in ‘Screen types’, where the size of ‘tasks’ or ‘prefilters’ are also set up.
The setup of a prefilter state in a variant of a subject would be more user friendly, if I can set it up with a severity only higher than the current setup in the default. Now it is possible to make a prefilter in the default with ‘on hidden’ while it is possible to change this in the variant to ‘off’. This gives the impression that the variant will respond in the way I set it up, only to find out that it has changed back to the setting of the prefilter state of the default of the subject. If the prefilter state in the variant could be set up only from the setting of the default and upwards, (with a possible added bonus read-only ‘current default prefilter state’ field) it would be a lot clearly to the developer which options are available to use in the variant.
I would like to see the added/active functionality of a subject, added in the menu item ‘Subjects’, to see what scripts are active for this subject.
