I'd like to be able to make a Variant of a Domain with Elements. Instead of making 'close to double' Domains I'd like to be able to do the next: Domain: "document_types" Elements(just some examples): 1- Purchase Order 2- Sales Order 3- Invoice 4- Picture 5- Kick off Document 6- Financial Summary So the case would be: I have a Documents table with a column "document_types" with this domain. As example there will be 2 views, where you can add Documents on different ways. So view 1: I want to be able to add Purchase Orders, Sales orders and Financial Summaries and in view 2: I want to be able to add Invoices, Pictures, Kick off Document and Financial Summaries. To achieve this i would have to make 2 more domains for view 1 and 2 where I'll also have to make sure the database values are the same as in domain "document_types". Right now it takes: -1 Extra time -2 The maintainability of these columns/domains are harder, because you need to make sure t
A client asked me if it is possible to change the width of the task popup in universal.Because I’ve not worked with universal yet, I’d like to ask the question here.
I have a problem with performance. The thing is there is a huge insert trigger which does all kinds of things when inserting an order. The insert trigger also inserts in a lot of other tables, causing a lot of insert triggers to go off. The strange thing is. The first time I insert something, the performance is just awful. The 2nd time I insert in the table, the performance is way better. I bet this has something to do with the SQL server caching stuff. An example is inserting an order based on a huge calculation took 13 seconds. The second time i did this it only took 2.8 seconds. We know this big 'trigger party' is a problem, but this is the way it works; the 3 seconds is acceptable, but 13 is not! I'd love to know if there's a way to see what is increasing this performance this much (like a cache) and is there a way to always achieve this? Like force caching stuff? Who can help me with this issue?
Right now you can make cool lookups which works with the 'Suggestion contains" control working as follow: The thing I'm looking for right now is to achieve the same thing in the combined filter of that table, if you hit the lookup, but when i look search for "4022 635 9" in the combined filter, it will search as: code:where (((((t1.[artikel_en_oms] like '%4022%'))) and (((t1.[artikel_en_oms] like '%635%'))) and (((t1.[artikel_en_oms] like '%9%'))))) I want to achieve: code:where (((((t1.[artikel_en_oms] like '%4022 635 9%'))) Changing the filter condition in subjects -> data -> filter does not work. Is there a way to achieve this?
Right now it is not possible to link a task to a table multiple times. I have a task which has to be added to a table multiple times filling the task parameters differently. It is possible to make 'Task variants' which is a great start, but it is not possible to link different task variants to the same table. This because the current primary key of tab_task is not allowing that. (and who knows about the GUI too...) Right now i have 9 tasks with almost the same name, using the same control procedure templates, and linked to the same table. The only difference is the parameters are getting filled differently.
I'm running into the restriction of exceeding max length on the column db_value on table elemnt. We're running some dynamic code where we put the table name in the elemnt_id and db_value column, but the db_value is restricted to 25 characters. Is there a reason for limiting this to 25 characters? if not, please increase it.
We're still on 2018.2. When i rename a Template, which has been assigned AND has parameters in the assignment, the rename task fails, because it has related parameters. Apparently the task is not working with these. Is this fixed yet in a later version of the SF?
After I alter the data on my document, or run a task my bullet point gets a black background. Does someone know how to fix this issue (is there a themes setting?) or is this a GUI issue? This still occurs in the lastest GUI: 2019.3.20
When I copy columns in the SF it also copies the value of "Identity". I cannot imagine a situation where you want to have two columns with the same name with "identity" = 1 on different tables / views. In what situation would you want this to be possible?
