Reserving space in the taskbar

When using universal on tablets, the space available in the screen becomes increasingly important. We are now in the situation where users go into the factory with the tablet to do various safety checks on various machines. Now we see that tasks are quickly truncated from text+icon to icon, with the display type set to "Icon + text (> text > icon). Yet we see that there is still very much space available in the action bar. Can we soon expect better use of this available space, or can we influence this ourselves with screentypes?More then enough room for tasks  1 pixel smaller, tasks only show icon or go to overflow, while there is enough room for text (and maybe icon)

Filter out control procedures without unit testsOpen

To more easily identify which control procedures are not yet covered by a unit test, it would be nice if there was a prefilter for this in the functionality screen. This way we can find these more easily and create them directly in the detail tab. An added bonus would be to display a badge at the unit tests, so you can immediately see by how many unit tests the control procedure is covered.

Display configured mock data as tableOpen

when you are configuring mock data, the complete data set can sometimes become quite cluttered. Also, you cannot immediately see which results are returned by an expression. I would like to see a tab next to the 'column values', or in another place if that makes more sense, with 'data', where the result of the complete mock data set can be displayed. Then we wouldn't have to click back and forth through all the configured rows to see the result of the mock data set and look for where an expression is incorrect or data is wrong, for example.

Conditional layout works does not work in form

Hello, some time ago, i though i saw that conditional layout of progress bars within the Universal Gui was now possible with an extended property. However, this seems to be working only for forms, but not for grids. Is this a bug, a choice or still being developed? And if so, when can we expect this to be released? Grid:Form:

Grouping icons in icon libraryNext release

The icon library in Software Factory is a bit cluttered at the moment, and it is not easy to structure which icons should be available for which use. In order to provide a consistent user experience, it could be very nice if we could group icons, and based on this, display a group of icons in the places where we can use them. For example, one grouping could be material-filled, material-outlined and color. Another grouping could be tasks, prefilters, subjects, form groups, etc. Based on configuration (and prefilters) we can then influence at which places which icons could be made available. Prefilters can of course always be turned off if you really want to deviate for a good reason.

Fill out Unit test attributes when adding from control procedureOpen

When adding a new unit test in the detail tab page of a control procedure, it would be nice when the Unit test type, Object type, Control procedure and Subroutine/table/task etc is already filled out. That way, we only need to provide a name and description for the unit test, which speeds up the process of adding unit tests.

Support wildcards in code searchNext release

Hello,we would like to query all control procedures where there is still ‘hard’ queried on a integer id, like: where production_plant_id = 1I want to search not only for the production_plant_id fields, but all ‘_id’-fields where %‘_id’ = [0-9]%.Could we make it possible to use regexes when searching in code search?

cursor from/to col id works different then expected

Hello. When i edit a form, and look at the database event log, i see my cursor_from_col_id immediately filled out, and the cursor_to_col_id is never filled out, not even when i change fields. Is this a (known) bug or can i influence this in some way through the Software Factory? We're using Universal GUI 2024.1.10.0.0.

Expected unit test messages in indicium logsClosed

Display type for prefilters and cube viewsOn the backlog

At the moment, we show prefilters in the prefilter bar. The prefilters only show an icon, and no text. Unfortunately, it can be pretty hard to find an icon that perfectly reflects what the prefilter does. Therefore, a text/title can sometimes help. Luckily, this can be found in the overflow menu. We would like to see a display type for prefilters, where you can choose to show the prefilterOnly with an icon With icon and text Only with text In the overflow menuSame logic could be applied to cube views

Automatically squash data migration in merge session.Open

We would like to specify during merging (or, if necessary, during an upgrade) that data migrations should be squashed. Now this has to be done manually after merging a branch, and if forgotten, data could be lost. If this can be specified with a check mark in the merge session, which is on by default, that would be nice. It could also possibly be done at the start of an upgrade, but the preference for us is before the merge session.

Adjust badge based on detail reference.

Hello,we currently use a badge to show how many interface messages are in status ‘queue’. This works great when you display interface messages as a main subject, but when referenced from the perspective of a interface message type, the badge shown in the detail tab still counts all interface messages in status 'queue',  despite the interface message type to which they are linked. Is there currently something on the backlog to readjust these badges automatically based on the reference from which they are shown, or is this something a developer needs to take into account while developing? If the latter, what exactly is a best practice in this? Thanks in advance!

'Jump' to 'model rights' screen from objects to which rights can be assigned.Merged

Hello, as discussed in this topic, it should be possible in the next release to ‘jump' between SF screens. I would like to offer the idea to jump to the ‘Model rights’ screen from objects like tasks, prefilters, process flows, subroutines and other objects to which rights can be assigned. This way we can more easily oversee which roles already have access to an object from the objects’ perspective, making it easier to assign these roles to a new object. For example, if i have some prefilters available in a subject for a specific role, and i were to add another prefilter to that subject, i would like to see which roles have access to the other existing prefilters to make it easier to identify which roles i need to assign to the new prefilter.

Change Universals' message when refreshing model/logging out during editingOpen

When you are editing a record in the Universal GUI, the GUI prompts with a message to inform a user that he is still adding/editing a record, and he should first cancel or save it’s changes before logging out. Is it possible to change this (at least for developers, who regularly refresh the model) to the prompt if a user wants to cancel his changes, that is also shown when the user simply uses the cancel button in the form? This will save some time and frustration when regularly testing and refreshing the model.

Create your own (parameterized) mailtemplates in IAMOpen

With the release of 2023.2, it will be possible to send mails based on templates via IAM. We have already built an email queue mechanism ourselves where emails are queued and sent based on (parameterized) templates via an SMTP connector. After learning that IAM would get a similar feature, we wanted to phase out this functionality and have it replaced by IAM. Unfortunately, in IAM we cannot use the templates ourselves, but there are only some standard templates which are used by IAM, which is not sufficient for our use case.We would like to be able to create our own parameterized templates in IAM, which we can then call with a mail connector. The mail connector then needs a template code/name and necessary mail parameters (in json, for example) to create the body of the mail, by replacing the parameter placeholders in the template body with the parameter values passed in the mail connector.This will enable us to automatically use the mail provider provided in IAM, and allow us to use t

Detail tab page icons appear to be inconsistent

Hello, we've just installed the new universal gui 2023.2.12 b1.0, where detail tab pages show icons. We see the icons on almost half of the detail tab pages, but we have no idea why they aren't shown on other detail tab pages.So far i've ruled out the following:It happens for both tables and views.It happens for both tables and variants.In the above image, both ‘Dienstverband’ as ‘Acties - beheer’ use the same detail screen type.All details in the image have icons configured on the subject/view/variant. any idea why icons are missing for some detail tabs?

Universal GUI reserves to much room for prefilters

Hello,we have a group of prefilters that prefilter the status of a purchase order. As you can see in the image, the prefilters would easily fit in the top bar above the list. However, the prefilters are not shown here. When we make the screen a little bit wider however, the prefilters are displayed as expected.Is this considered a bug or is there any way a developer can influence this behaviour via the SF?Thanks in advance.

Create role Data analyzer in SFOpen

Change menu in UniversalCompleted

Exact implementation of the import wizard

In the release notes for 2023.12 b1.0 is stated that the import wizard is being built. Can you give any information in how this wizard will work exactly? We're very eager to try this.Can we for example configure that the imported data contains column/data translations/ids or specify the used tab page in the excel? Just as is already built in the Windows gui?Thanks.

Scaling issue SVG in form

Hello, we're using material filled icons with an subicon from icons8 to add form headers to our form. If i would zoom in to 400%, the icon is displayed correctly:However, when i zoom out to 300%, the icon is scaled weird and this goes on the further you zoom out.The image look correctly on all zoom levels when we download it. Is this an universal bug?

Disable change detection when browser runs in backgroundOpen

Currently, change detection and badges continue to be refreshed when a user is running the browser in the background and is not actively working in it. Can we somehow check the browser and see if it is being used at all and thus needs to be refreshed?

Create mock data based on system versioned tableOpen

At this moment we cannot use data sets in unit tests that are based on a system versioned table. It results in the error: ‘Truncate failed on table “...” because it is not a supported operation on system-versioned tables.’. As our product table is system versioned to show changes made to the articles, we cannot make any unit tests for control procedures that interact with the article table. We would like to see this implemented.

Mock data set based on viewCompleted

At this moment the Software Factory does not support creating mock data based on views. This means that functionality that is based on a view cannot be covered by unit tests. I’m not sure if it is, but a work around could be to fill all the tables on which the view depends on with mock data, but this could get very time consuming and not necessary if you don’t want to test the view itself. If it would be possible to create mock data based on views, then the Software Factory can for example:Rename the existing view Create a mock table based on this view, with the original name add the mock data After the unit test has completed, the mock table can be dropped and the view renamed to it’s original name.
