When I am editing a template that is in Review status there is automatically an comment added like ‘The template '' was inserted by after the changelog was submitted for review.’I would like to get a warning before I can edit this template. In this warning I would like to have the option to change the status to ‘Development’
I would like to choose between smart and full generation for each code file. This is because the execution of the index code file takes at least 40 minutes on my production environment, so i want this to be smart - execute only the changed indexes. But for other code files, like views, procedures, tasks, defaults, layouts, contexts, etc i want to be sure that the code i have in the software factory is all deployed to my end product database. In the case that somebody changed, for whatever reason, the code in production. That change is reverted with the code from the software factory. At this moment i need to generate the source code twice. First the full code and copy that to a staging folder. Second i need to generate the code smart and copy the files that must be deployed smart to the staging folder. It would save me time, and a cleaner upgrade process when i can generate the complete package i want to execute on the end product database in one run.
We have a multitenant web application. In this application there is an option for our support employees to assist the customer. We do this by injecting the support employee user into the customer by a Task.When the support employee makes a switch to another customer they must close all open subjects. For this i like to have an option in the process flow actions to close all open subjects.

I’ve upgraded my Software Factory to 2022.2 and now i need to download the IAM Sync script from indicium. The target server that this script needs to run on is not available to the Indicium. We use the SMTP settings to send Two-factor codes by email. We use the Office 365 service for the email delivery. I'm trying to use my IAM as external OpenID authentication. I have an website that i need to secure access to. For that i want to use the Thinkwise IAM OpenID as authentication backend.For testing purposes I created a new IAM database on the 2022.2 platform with the latest indicium (2022.2.12) in the Azure cloud.In the OpenID -> OpenID clients i created a new record with olly the ClientID populated. We, as an international company, attract more and more customers from different parts of the world. We have now multiple clients from countries that use Arabic as their native - Arabic - language. They really need to use our product (that runs on the great Thinkwise platform) in their native - Arabic - language. Is it possible to have Two-factor (2FA) authentication enabled on Windows GUI with Indicium-basic as application server?If so how do I setup this?
We have the following problem: We have a screen that looks like this Branding(1) à lis_view_selection_header(2.detail of branding) à lis_sector(3.detail of lis_view_selection_header) Now we have the following problem: When filtering on a value in lis_sector(3) and then switching records in lis_view_selection_header(2), the filter remains, which is now trying to filter on a value that is no longer necessary. So we want to empty this filter when they switch rows in lis_view_selection_header(2) . To empty this filter, we tried to create a process flow that when they select a row in lis_view_selection_header(2) throws the filter empty. For this we have already tested a number of process action types but without success, the process flow does not start. I would have expected the 'activate document' or 'activate detail' type on lis_view_selection_header(2) to work here.
We have deployed the Software Factory to Azure. With the new 2022.1 release we are unable to save the deployment .sql scripts. As workaround (or improvement) we can download the files from indicium (/iam/sf/code_file?$filter=project_id eq '<project>' and project_vrs_id eq '<project_version>' and code_file_generated_code ne null&$select=code_file_id, code_file_generated_code)I would like to automate the download process, but struggle to get the login token from indicium.How do i programmatically authenticate to indicium to download the deployment scripts?

I would like to be informed whenever there is a new version of a product available (Web GUI, Windows GUI, Universal GUI, SF, etc). This can be by RSS feed, email or any other platform that supports notifications that i can subscribe to. With this i am alerted when new versions are available and can start planning the rollout. It would also be very useful when the change log for that new version is direct available. I use the change log to determinate how quick i want this version available to my (end) users.
I have a requirement that end users must be able to download a result set from the Web GUI. Normally i implement this with the export functionality that is included in the Software Factory.The issue with this result set is that it can easily contain 100.000s records. There is no need to see this result set, or a parts of this result set in the Web GUI. I only need to download an excel file with the full result set.I can imaging that i have an asynchronous task that creates the excel file on the server and can be downloaded by the end user.What is my best option to implement this in the Software Factory (2021.2) with the Web GUI (latest version)?
When adding new columns to existing model it’s possible to add default values with the data conversion. I would like to produce a specific value for each row that is the result of a query. With this i can calculate and populate the new column with a value.
I really love the double click start task action in the Software Factory and we use it a lot in our application. Next to starting a task, i would also like to be able to start a report with a double click on a row. This would make a great user experience for some screens we have and are used a lot by our customers.Please add the option to start a report with the double click action on a row. I’d prefer to have it in the Web GUI first, but the Universal and Windows GUI should be a close second.
I love the Azure AD login feature and can’t wait to start using this.The Azure AD accounts at our company are enforced with MFA. This means that when we login with our Azure AD account in any Office 365 application we must approve this request (just as we can do with the IAM users).My question is: Does this work when I switch the IAM users to Azure AD users? Can they login with the Azure AD user/password and MFA approval?And as an follow-up question. Do the users need to approve the login with MFA every time they login to the Software Factory Application (Windows / Web / Universal), or can this be cached for some period?
We have a table with 100K+ records and the combined filter needs to search across 10+ columns. This can take a few seconds to return the results. Also this consumes precious database resources. We did optimize the table to only contain the needed data but the performance is not what we like. This functionality is used a lot in our application.Therefor i would like the option to connect Azure Search to this table and let this index the table. The combined filter should send the query to the connected Azure Search instance en return the data to the grid.
We have a lot of untranslated objects that we do not need to translate, mainly because these objects are not visible in the GUI.We also have a non developer tasked with the translation process (we support 32 languages at this moment).For his workflow we would like to have an overview of all new translation objects based on another project and version. Similar to the “New objects” tab next to the Model Rights screen: Can you add an overview with the New Translation Objects to the Software Factory?
I often look for strings in code that spans multiple lines. I think it would be cool if the SF Code search can search for the input string that span multiple lines. With that functionality i can find specific patterns that must be changed.
The web GUI creates pages for the grid result. The query for the row count uses hardcoded values e.g.select count(1) as tsf_rowcounterfrom [table] as t1where (t1.[col1] = 50 and t1.[col2] = 145 and t1.[col3] = 17340)We have an issue where this specific query is sometimes slow with an execution time of 50 minutes or more and the paged query is fast (within seconds).Please change the row count query to use parameters instead of hardcoded values. With this change we are able to attach a fixed query plan to have an consistent query performance. Also the number of compiled queries are reduces with this change
We use the print preview popup component a lot in our application. To get more information on the screen without additional mouse clicks we would like to have an option to open this popup maximized. That way the user has a larger part of the report visible without the need of maximizing the popup every time he views an report.
As discussed inAt this moment it is only possible to set the default zoom level to 100% and 200% with the extended property DevReportZoom. Also when i set this value to 0 the Whole Page option is selected. I don’t know if that’s a feature or bug.Anyway we would really like to have an option to set the default zoom level to Page Width
We use the Dev Express report component for previewing reports in the Web GUI.With Web GUI version 2021.2.10 there is a configuration option to set the default zoom level “DevReportZoom“.The values that are documented are 1 for 100%2 for 200% etc.I noticed while testing this that when i set the value to 0 the default zoom is set to “Whole Page”.Is there a value i can use to set this default to “Page Width”?
We run the software factory Web GUI on Azure Web App. Recently we scaled the App Service plan to an instance with 8 GB to address high memory usage issues.The Web App platform is still configured as 32 bit.Is there any need or advantage to switch the Web App platform to 64 bit for the Web GUI?
