When experimenting with conditional layouts in a cube pivot table, I notice this is also not working although there are options for styling the Universal GUI specifically?
We are still experiencing problems unfortunately ..Could anyone elaborate on this topic?
Is the user listed in the database server and has sufficient rights to both the IAM, SF and possibly end product database? (if SSMS: Object Explorer > [Server] > Security > Logins) Hi Mark,The users did have access to all the databases (which we can do ourselves), but were not listed under logins. After our IT partner made sure they were added to the database server, the problem was solved, Thanks!
Hi Nick, Which authentication type does the user use? IAM, RDBMS, Windows? We are using Windows authentication. This is the same for every user.I tried testing RDBMS but I do not have sufficient rights to create a database user this way.
Bump.I tried to reproduce this issue by removing rights incrementally on a second account, but I did not manage to reproduce. The error message does not help:
Hi Nick, That may happen if the role has not gotten sufficient rights to the Menu. Can you verify that and give rights to the menu? That was indeed the case, thanks a lot!
I found the solution:Go to Projects > Project Overview > Project Versions Copy the version you want to deploy in test environment Edit this project version and make sure the “previous project version” is the one that was deployed earlierNow, when you generate definition, it is based on the correct project version.Note that just like Mark stated above, we use an older version of the Software Factory, so I don’t know if it still works this way.
Thanks for all the help, I managed to solve the problem.Lately, we have been doing some network routing changes to improve the performance of all Thinkwise applications. An incorrect domain name was configured in the runtime configuration and it could there not find the database. It was a coincidence that I discovered the issue after the database rename.
Hi Nick, Could it be that Indicium does not have sufficient rights to open or connect to that database? Hi Mark,That should not be possible as it is the same database, but only renamed. However, in IIS our application pool was also renamed. Could this have something to do with it?Normally we have a Thinkwise support engineer available, but I know he is on holiday. Is there someone else available for support?
Hi, when you hit the ‘Connect’ button you can see the database server and name it is attempting to deploy on. This information is stored in a runtime configuration. You can update the runtime configuration to match the renamed database name. Hi Anne,Thanks for your quick reply. The information in the runtime configuration is correct: both the server and the database → Also, it is working in the end application where the same runtime configuration is used.FYI: the IAM database is also renamed. I am not sure if this has anything to do with it?
