@Edwin Saan Which MIME type did you implement?
@Jeroen van den Belt in which manner is this implemented?
@H. Lukassen is it a grid? If so, you can just scroll to left and right while holding ctrl button?
Hi @Freddy We added it as separate upgrade code. But maybe we should post an idea for this.
Hi Freddy,I'm not sure if it is helpful, but if you want to (easily) figure out how to go “up” and “down” a hierarchy dataset. You should check the hierarchy data type and it's corresponding methods. It made my life a lot more easy when dealing with multi-level Bill of Materials. There are some methods to find all the Childs and all the Parents from any point in the data set. Also if you want to sort your data set in a grid and sort it based on breadth first in a multi-level BOM.Can imagine it is helpful to identify which nodes should be highlighted in the grid or tree. @AmelRamulic This sort of sound like a problem we faced. We had a field and every time the scanner filled the field it shifted to the next one. This happened since the scanner added an ‘Enter’ after each scan. We changed it in the scanner software to ‘Tab’. Then the GUI could handle it and we could use the @cursor_to_col_id to stay in the same barcode scan field en also empty the field so the user could scan the next barcode. Is this helpful? https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/knowledge-articles/evm/add-a-tab-key-after-scanning-a-bar-code.html
In this case you are saying that i need to use an Android or iOS device. What about an Windows notebook or PC? Does it specifically need to be an Android or iOS device? If the Zebra DS3608 is connected to your windows pc, you can use the scanner as a keyboard. Just make sure your Thinkwise application is modeled for it.
Hello Joost,At one of my projects we used the mobile GUI on an android handheld scanner from Zebra (MC3300). This works perfectly since the integrated scanner is functioning just as a keyboard input in the android app.Hope this gives you an idea.Kind regards,Guy
Hello G. Ariens, At first the previewer tries to open the extension with a registered viewer in Windows. If no registered viewer is available, the previewer will then check if it has a control that can open the extension, e.g. a PDF file. The previewer uses a couple of different controls to open files, which are: An UltraPictureBox from Infragistics which can open .jiff, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .png and .ico A simple textbox which can open .txt, .cs, .java, .ini, .log, .bat, .sql Chromium browser for surfing URL’s, and opening .html, .htm, .xml, .gif, .msg, .svg files A PDFViewer from DevExpress to open .pdf and .ps files For any other file the previewer will try to navigate to the given path and show it in the Chromium Browser. If this fails it will state no preview is available. I hope this clears things up, if you need any further information please let me know. Kind Regards, Roel Maybe add this to the documentation?
@Henk Nicolai Great work! I do have one question. Now that the preview module has been updated. Could you provide a list of file extensions that are supported by default (and maybe more if the right software is installed) ?
Hi Mark, Guy and Ricky, Thank you for your answers. We want to use the RDS server for end-users working from our office in the USA or from home, not for developers. @gariens if you have 6 developers on 1 server with 16Gb of memory and this works fine then probably USER- or GDI -object limitations are not in place, can you confirm that? Is there anybody here who uses RDS for end-users? Kind regards, John. Hi John, That is true. For end users I have seen a setup of 15-20 end users per RDS, However I do not know the exact hardware configuration of the RDS environment. But I think it is pretty standard. Kind regards, Guy
Hi John, I'm am working on a project where there are 6 developers on one server and the bottleneck is our 16 GB RAM. So if you have around 6 developers, make sure you have more than 16 GB RAM. Kind regards, Guy
Thanks Ali! We should add this to the documentation.
If this is the only purpose of your insert en update triggers you could use the following code to find if the trigger is triggered by another trigger. if (select trigger_nestlevel(object_id('[TABLE]_ti')) ) > 0 or (select trigger_nestlevel(object_id('[TABLE]_tu')) ) > 1 begin return end In case of your example the following code should be added to your update trigger: if (select trigger_nestlevel(object_id('[action_overview_ti')) ) > 0 or (select trigger_nestlevel(object_id('[action_overview_tu')) ) > 1 begin return end
